Goutham Vasudev Menon’s wonderful movie Vinnai thandi varuvaya was released on 2010 but still its stay in our hearts. It is one of the super hit movies of Goutham’s. The film is purely a majical love story. It grabs every lover’s heart and still every one love to watch that movie.
There are lot of plus points in this movie but the chemistry between the leading actors was awesome. Simbu and Thrisha lived as the real characters not as leading stars. Manoj Paramahamsa’s camera was excellent and outstanding. Scene by scene he crafted the movie with his eye catching frames. Screen play also amazing and the way of telling the story is very good. It’s like a biographical explanation by the hero.
When we see the story of VTV Karthik (Simbu) is a mechanical engineering student and he dreams to become a director in future. He meets Jessy, who was an IT professional and she is a Malayalee Christian. And he fall in love at the first sight. They live in the same flats. She was in the top of the floor with her father, mother and her brother. Karthik rented in the ground floor with his parents and sister. Jessie’s father is a strict person and also her brother is very aggressive.
First half of the movie shows how Karthik tries to love Jessy. He follows Jessy and tries to attract her. His friend Ganesh also helps him. Finally Jessy melt for his love and she started to love Karthik. But her family and the religion keep her away from the true love. It’s no need to tell the story at all because we already saw that many times in the screen. the climax is different as usual Tamil film.
Simbu and Thrisha acted very sincerely and both of them were give their best acting in this movie. Their romantic actions and expressions were conveyed in a lovely way. All the credits go to them.
As usual the music was very excellent and all the songs were very good and it’s magically fits for the story. A.R.Rahman proves his Oscar award by the song of “Antha neram”. This film was a milestone for Simbu’s career. even though still he couldn’t find a story like VTV. Because his all movies are like action movies and he shouted and wagging his fingers. But VTV gave him another dimension for him. As usual Thrisha looks like an angel and her acting was awesome.
On the whole Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya was a magical love story in Tamil Cinema. Still we couldn’t find any romantic film like VTV in the Tamil industry. We are expecting Goutham’s next film “Neethane En Ponvasantham” will break the record of VTV.
