Director A.R.Murugadoss – A short biography

One man who made all heads turn at once within his fifth film is Director.A.R.Murugadoss. He is one of the successful directors, not only in Kollywood but also in Bollywood too. 

He has directed six films such as Dheena,Ramana, Ghajini, Stalin, Ghajini in hindi, Elaam arivu till now. His whole films have starred by the topper in cinema industry such as Ajith, Vijayakanth, Surya, Chiranjeevi and Aamir Khan. Now he is directing a film named as “Thuppakki” . Vijay plays the main role of this movie

Personal life:

He was born in Kallakurichi in Tamilnadu on April 27, 1978. Reading books is his passion from his childhood. He studied B.A in Bishop Heber College, Trichy. He has written 30 short stories and a novel in his school and college days. He married Anita and they are blessed with a baby. Now they are living in an independent house in AVM Avenue, Virgambakkam, Chennai.

Career: right from his school he moved to Chennai from his home and started his career as a copy writer. He worked as a copy writer with writer  Kalamani. Later he worked in the Tamil film Poochudava, acted in a cameo role role and as an assistant director with S. J. Suryah for films like Vaali and Khushi.

His fist movie as a Director was Dheena  starring Ajith was mass entertainer and a blockbuster . next Ramana Starring Vijayakanth also was a super duper commercial hit.

His third film was Ghajini starring Surya. It was a big blockbuster and gave thetop level collection to the producers. This is the film was the biggest turning point in ARMurugadoss’s life. From this film he recognized as a Director in Cine field. His fourth film was in telungu, it was  Stalin starring Chiranjeevi, which fared well at the box office.

His fifth movie was Ghajini which was the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie, normally Directors are waiting for the call sheets from Amir Khan but Amir invited Murugadoss to direct him. Ghajini hindi version and was released on 25 December 2008. It became the biggest hit of that year. He introduced Asin to bollywood.

The latest  project was Ezham Arivu with one of the biggest production house Red Giant Movies in the South, starring Shruti Haasan and Suriya.  Music for this film was scored by Harish Jayaraj. Johnny Tri Nguyen, one world recognized actor played the role of antagonist in this movie

Now he started his works in production firm as his own. His first film as a producer was “Engeyum Eppothum” Directed by Saravanan. It was the mega hit movie in 2011. 

Now he is directing the film “thuppakki” starring Vijay and Kajal. It is expected to release in next mont [ July]

Most of the best heroes and heroines are expecting to act at least one of his film…
