Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Dhanush's 3 (moonu) is a tamil film. Which is very youthful and it shows the 3 stages of love in a man’s life. She led the movie with limited characters and keeping the new-age sensibilities in mind. The movie is looking like a moving drama. 1st half is very interesting with romance and like a poetic movie. 2nd half is full of suspense.

Tamil film 3 begins on a death of Dhanush and quickly tells the audience that the movie is not all about regular love story, and there is something serious I the film. After, a flashback takes us to a lively situation, where Ram (Dhanush) is dressed as a college student and going to college,it’s a rainy day, he leaves the home on his bike and sees a girl Janani (Shruti Hassan) who is repairing her cycle in the middle of the traffic. As usual Ram looked at her and started to love her. In no time, their love blossoms and after facing some minor troubles, Janani comes from a middle-class family and they are going through a financial problem, while Ram is the son of a businessman.Janani tries to avoid Ram, because of her family background and as a teenage girl. Ram, however, follows her and finally wins her love. Then Ram-Janani ties the knot.1st half of the movie 3 looks like a normal love story,there we can see the hint that something going to happen. In the 2nd half tale takes a shocking twist, where it is revealed that Ram is suffering from Bipolar Disorder, a psychological disease. Then subject focus on the hero and his sufferings because of the disorder. The other parts are advised to watch in the big screen.

Director’s Way of telling the story is interesting. She succeeds in the 1st half by keeping the story lively .The natural-progress of the love tale between Dhanush and Shruthi is interesting. But in the 2nd half, she seems to have lost the grip on the script, some parts are dragging. She tries to impress the viewers through the acting of Dhanush but the last stage somewhat fails to impress the viewers.

Dhanush wins the heart with his impeccable acting. For Dhanush, 3 is yet another milestone in acting. His performance, especially in the climax scene is touching our hearts. Shruthi also well supported for Dhanush character. In fact, she has tried to give a natural touch to her role, she try to avoid the overacting. Other actors like Prabhu, Bhanu Priya, and Siva Karthikeyan have done their good job for their roles.

Technically all the songs no need any introduction, as the audio of the film has become a massive hit. Especially, the track, 'Kolaveri di...' not only drew the nation's attention but also in asian countries Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka and also it reached in the western countries. It also becomes a most popular song in the youtube. Cinematographer Velraj's work is remarkable, but Kota Bhaskar's editing is not that much extra ordinary. The editor could have easily reduced the movie by at least 10-12 minutes, because some parts are boring.
On the whole 3 is not succeed but acting of Dhanush and Aishwarya is very good and we can say the film gets 50 out of 100. But the songs get 100 out of 100.
