"Marupakkam" Jaffna Tamil short film was released by Shalini Chals on 26th May 12,This short film talks about Child labors which is one of the controversial issues in Jaffna now a days.
Story of Marupakkam is about a little orphan girl who works as a labor at a home.
One day, a school teacher found this girl while walking on the street and brought her to the school
for her studies with the permision of the mistress of the home. The Girl then becomes a successful woman with the help of that teacher.
First copy of this film was released by the
Chief Guest Mr.K.Sevel, Chairman AAA Movies International and Your Friend Foundation.
Many VIPs including National Child Protection Autority’s Jaffna District phyco-social officer Mr. K.Gauthaman and Mr. Pon. Suganthan,
Chairman, Arts and Literature Association of Sri Lanka have participated in this event.
