Film is a one of the popular medium in the world. Film was invented by Lumiere brothers. Cinema is the production of films as an art or industry. Films have motion pictures.
In early period we had motion pictures. Several names called as film .Such as cinema, picture shows, flicks, movies, photo plays and silver screen. Film influences the people and their life strongly. Films used as entertainment, educate, inform the audience.
Each and every film is reflecting their cultures and their life style. People don’t interest in what is happening around us. But they are interesting in cinema very well. Films reach even the rural areas also.
There are number of film industries in the world. Tamil Cinema, Telungu cinema, Kannada cinema, Malayalam cinema, Hindi cinema, Sinhalese cinema &Srilankan Tamil cinema are some of it.
Sri Lankan Tamil film industry began with 1951s. Although there is a well-established Sinhala cinema in Sri Lank there is no a well-established Tamil cinema here. Even though many Tamil films were produced and released in Sri Lanka. Such a way following films are some of it.
