Shocking Gossip about Shruti Hassan! Shruti Hassan dated Naga Chaitanya!

Known for their shocking revelations, irrespective of whether true or not, a popular south Indian English daily has revealed something that really shakes fans. This time, their target is young hero Naga Chaitanya and spicy starlet Shruti Hassan.

According to a vernacular daily, both Chaitu and Shruti have dated each other for a while sometime back and have parted ways now. It is reported that this popular romantic hero and that curvaceous siren are introduced to each other through a common friend. Chaitu and Shruti never worked with each other, or never recommend each other’s name for a movie, and that is why one can’t expect this couple to have really dated. But the report says that the dating thing went cool for six months, but recently they stopped seeing one another. As none knows what transpired between them, none will ask them about break-up too.

.'Amarakaaviyam' moves Arya to tears
"I was amazed with the final output of 'Amarakaaviyam'," said actor-producer Arya
Arya, who has turned producer with the forthcoming Tamil romance drama 'Amarakaaviyam', was moved to tears after watching the film at a private screening recently.

Featuring Arya's brother Sathya in the lead, 'Amarakaaviyam' is directed by his best friend Jeeva Shankar.

"I was amazed with the final output of 'Amarakaaviyam'. Jeeva Shankar and Sathya have recreated a romantic tale that will match international standards. I was so touched that I wept. I know and understand the pressure of a hero, but this is the first time I felt the pride of producing a good film," Arya said in a statement.

An overwhelmed Arya ordered 143 cakes and distributed them among the film's unit and close friends.

"(The number) 143 is the symbolism of 'I love you' and it instantly struck me to choose this number," he added.

Debutante Mia George is playing the female lead in 'Amarakaaviyam', produced under Arya's home banner - The Show People.

Take risks to produce global content: Kamal Haasan

"Indian filmmakers need to stop being satisfied with the familiarity and safety of local markets and start taking risks," said actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan, who led the Indian delegation at the ongoing 67th Cannes International Film Festival, said it is vital for Indian filmmakers to take risks to be able to produce "truly global content".

"The problem is that we are a self-sufficient nation. Indian filmmakers need to stop being satisfied with the familiarity and safety of local markets and start taking risks - so that India can constantly produce truly global content that is appreciated across the world," Kamal said in a statement.

Kamal, who returned from Cannes film festival Sunday, is proud to have been part of the prestigious festival as he got an opportunity to rub shoulders with international delegates.

"As an Indian filmmaker, I am proud to have been part of this wonderful endeavour by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in making the India Pavilion at Cannes a hub of networking, business and informative interactions to promote partnerships between the Indian film fraternity and the global one," he said.

"I am happy to know that going forward, Indian filmmakers will have the support of the government in pushing forward their business and creative ventures," added Kamal.

He was also the guest of honour at the exclusive networking receptions at the India Pavilion, one of them hosted by the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and three of them co-hosted by the ministry, and film bodies, producers and filmmakers from New Zealand, Australia and Germany.

Kamal also had the privilege of speaking at the session on 'Co-Production: Merging Resources to Create Magic'.

He lauded the new breed of filmmakers in India who are straying from the path of the commercial mainstream formulas and said, "co-production treaties allow the filmmakers of today opportunities that were unthinkable a decade or two ago".

He also took out time to watch as many screenings as possible.

Now that he is back, he has joined the crew of his upcoming Tamil film 'Uttama Villain' and begun shooting already.
