He celebarate his birthday today (apr 09).

Jaffnamovie.com wishes the actor very very happy birthday!

Prabhu Deva is lucky man

Actor-choreographer-director Prabhu deva says, I never planned to become a dancer but I became one. Same thing happened with acting and direction. I remember I was doing the choreography of a film and the producer came and offered me to direct the film. It was in Telugu and that is how it started’.
His success in action films saw Prabhu deva finding it difficult to explore other genres but he is doing his first romantic film with Tips now.
The movie Ramaiya Vastavaiya stars Shruti Hassan and Sonu Sood.

Tamanaah is disappointed

It seems that days are very bad for Tamanaah now.

The high budgeted Hindi film Himmatwala in which she paired with Ajay Devgan was released recently.
This film was an utter flop. This film yielded a profit of Rs 31.1 Crores only in the first week of its release. Long time back Tamanaah had acted in a Hindi film titled Chand Sa Roshan Chehra.
Now after a long time she has acted in the Hindi film Himmatwala. Though she made her debut in Hindi, she was one of the leading actresses in Tamil and Telugu film industries.
Since she had no offers in Tamil and Telugu she forayed into Bollywood with confidence but unfortunately that film an utter flop. Tamanaah is very disappointed because of this.
She has now got the opportunity to act in the film which has the combination of Ajith and ‘Siruthai’ Siva. She has got this opportunity because of director Siva. She who was singing praises about Ajay Devgan has now started singing praises of Ajith.

I am ready to pair with any hero: Actress Namitha

I will again don the heroine role.

The sexy buxom beauty Namitha lost her film offers because she had put on over weight. While acting in films like Engal Anna and Aai, she was very lean. Later on she started putting on weight. In the recent films, she was looking very fat and because of this, there was no one to offer her heroine roles. The last film she had acted in Tamil was Ilaignan. This film was released in the year 2011.
After the advent of new actresses she was sidelined. Now she is participating in some programmes and opening of textile show rooms. She is also involved in real estate business. At this juncture, she has decided to act in the films. So she is exercising very hard to shed her weight. She is spending most of the time in gyms. She has also restricted her food. Namitha while speaking said, “I have talent and age.
Hence I will don female lead roles. I am reducing my weight by regular workouts. I am ready to pair with any hero. I will pair with new faces as well as with elderly heroes.”

Settai Movie Review

UTV Motion Pictures, which had produced Delhi Belly, an adult comedy film, decided to remake it in Tamil by doing away with explicit contents, which would not have gone well with the local audience. The Hindi version was a huge hit.
Story: It is about three roommates, JK (Arya), a journalist, a graphic artist played by Premgi and a reporter Nadupakkam Nakki (Santhanam). They are chased around the city by gangsters after a stool sample mix-up. Well, Madhu (Hansika), an air hostess and the girlfriend of JK, gets a packet and she passes it to her beau. JK carelessly hands over it to Nakki to take it to home. On his way to home, Nakki is distracted by a streetside tandoori chicken stand of dubious hygienic standards and eats the chicken that upsets his stomach.
Immediately, he meets a doctor, who asks for a stool sample and the characters soon learn that it’s unwise to mix up one’s stool sample with a million-dollar packet, thereby triggering to set the plot in motion. Now, the three friends are targeted by a suitably cold-blooded criminal and his gang. What happens next should be seen on-screen. Director Kannan, as said before, has tweaked the storyline to suit the local audience. More importantly, there are no cuss words and no adult one-liners, and the much-talked kissing scene in the film is just a camera trick. But there are toilet jokes.

Chennaieil Oru Naal - Review

A leading cinema superstar (Prakashraj), a noted doctor (Prasanna) celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife (Iniya), an up and coming journalist (Mithun) wanting to interview the superstar, his parents (Jayaprakash & Lakshmi Ramakrishnan), his girlfriend (Parvathi Menon), a disgraced traffic constable (Cheran), a Police Commissioner (R. Sarathkumar) - The lives of all these people happen to be interwoven due to a single incident! The superstar's car crashes into the journalist's 2-wheeler, and the journalist suffers a fatal accident! On arriving at the hospital, he is declared brain-dead, but put on the ventilator! His parents are distraught! At the same time, the superstar's little daughter is seriously ill, and needs a heart transplant to keep her alive! The initially reluctant parents of the journalist, later agree to donate their son's heart to the ailing girl! However, the hitch is that, the heart has to travel over 140 Kms, and the weather problems negate using a helicopter! The only option is to transport the heart by road, but it has to travel the 140 Kms, within 90 minutes! The Police Commissioner puts together a team, and the constable volunteers to do the driving, in an effort to clear all the past black marks against his name!
Chennaieil Oru Naal, is a heart-touching tale of organ donation, and safety awareness, told in an endearing way! Each of the characters has been cast with amazing perfection, and with such an ensemble cast, the performances are classy! Sarathkumar has played the role of a cop in a number of movies, but excels in a completely different cop avatar, here! Prakashraj just breezes through the role of a superstar, and Cheran as the disgraced cop trying to set his name straight, is apt! Radhikaa as the anguished mother of an ailing child, and wife of a superstar, is good! However, the most stellar performances are from Jayaprakash and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, as parents who witness their son's death, and donate his heart to save another life! Suriya makes a cameo appearance, and with his power-packed speech, adds to the strength of the movie! Shaheed Kader, the director has stayed true to the original Traffic, and brought out a superb thriller, with minor changes made to suit the Kollywood audience!
A fast thriller, which extolls the value of organ-donation and following traffic rules!
